Coleman was raised in the Lancashire town of Blackpool. Coleman was head of the class of Arnold School, Blackpool and had straight A's at her A level. When discussing her character on Emmerdale, Coleman stated that she regrets not having had a typical college experiences. While at school Coleman was a part of the theatre group In Yer Space with whom she played at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. In addition to being awarded a prize for acting skills, the show it performed attracted a lot of attention. Whilst auditioning for drama schools Coleman landed the part as Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman received two awards in 2007. In the British Soap Awards she was nominated as Best Newcomer and during the National Television Awards she was named the the Most Popular Newcomer. In 2009, the British Soap Awards 2009 nominated Coleman for both category of Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine and the category for Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21st, 2012 that Coleman was going to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and others left the series. Moffat claimed that he selected Coleman to be the companion because she would work best with Smith. Also, Moffat noted that she was more talkative than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working in the industry for over 30 years and is associated in numerous TV and film projects. The most well-known of her roles was TV. Eva's roles in TV series The Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and the role of Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami make an impact. The latter gave Eva two nominations for a Daytime Emmy. Also, she got to show off her artistic side through music. Eva is not only an actor, but an entrepreneur and philanthropist. She was married three times and also has a daughter with her first husband.
