Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American model, author, designer as well as an animal rights activist. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most acclaimed films. Her desire to be an artist was in part influenced by her upbringing within the New York family of artists. She began working as a photographer's assistant, and then turned to modeling and acting. She was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 1990 because she was a promising actor. MacGraw became a household name following the success of her 1970 film Love Story. She was considered for nomination to an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. Within three years, she was named the number one female box-office starter in the whole world. The Grauman's Chinese Theater signed her name as well as foot prints, hand prints, and footprints in the year 1972. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, and other films. Her autobiography, published in 1991 Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw is married three times.
